We went hunting and saw a little buck and 16 does. Their fun to look at, don’t think I could bring myself to kill one or anything. I guess I’m a softy.

It’s Veteran’s day. Do you know a Vet?
Hug a vet and thank them for serving our country.

Today in Reardan has been slow. Haven’t heard much traffic coming thru town today.
Wood stoves are burning due to the cold front that is coming thru. Please always be safe when burning to stay warm. If you hear the crackle in your chimney close it down for a bit.
Time to get out your winter jackets and clothes you have stored away. Winter is here. Stay warm and bundle up.
Boy scouts food drive is this Saturday. If you can spare any food, please leave it on your front porch to be pickup. It’s the Holidays and families need your help. No perishables or homemade good. Canned foods, box foods and Diapers are always excepted. If you can spare please give to your local food bank for a family in need. you never know it could be your next door neighbor.

Moving to a small town in Reardan, WA. Known as a farming town west of Spokane, WA.
Since moving here has been peaceful; I can see the world from a different view: The scenery is beautiful, the fields for miles, the sunset as it lays above the fields of Autumn evening, the blue sky pink, orange and a little purple mixed all together to make a gorgeous sunset as it lays to rest for the night.
At night the sun may rest his rays and bring upon light on the other side of the world, where some might cry because their sky is full of smog while we say good night with stars to guide us thru the night light. It’s nice to be able to see the sun go down without a house covering my view or picture taking of the weather as I love to do, Star gazing is one hobby I enjoy in my heart. Seeing the night sky filled with a white sparkling glow I can see for miles. Star gazing with lights from the city of Reardan. It isn’t only a small town, It has a the peaceful view for miles and miles of farming land and the view of the sun rising and falling at night.
Reardan has what the city does not have and to get to see it everyday.
1) Residents get to smile and wave to others whether they know them or not. Anything in-between someone will stop you in your tracks and give you the recognition you’re needing. You do this in Spokane, people think your crazy or what a weirdo. Not in Reardan, they are not to shy and are willing to help each other out in a need. A complete stranger comes up to you as you walk passed each other and say “What a beautiful day it is today? Not as beautiful as you” WOW. I had a ponytail in my hair, no war paint on and wearing my pajama pants in my slippers walking to the R’ Store to see the town a little bit. Helped me know I am still beautiful even on my worst days. Thanks to the Reardan Gentlemen with the Stick cane.
2) Being able to look beyond the trailers and houses and see beautiful horizons in your back yard is AWWW.
3) Knowing my teenage daughter is safe at night to run, as the wind if she needs to get stuff off her chest, is cool in my book. Being safe is the key and if you are not safe or feel safe then you have no security. We feel safer here in Reardan than we did in Spokane, and I’ve lived there my 34 years of life.
4) Education here is also awesome. My daughter Sara told me the other day “Reardan High School has a high graduating rate for seniors”. Too Cool.
Now I can only hope my view isn’t blocked as I write this tidbit and learn more about my town, If so then I need a rebuttal. Any takers?
